Natural Ways To Deal With Anxiety While Pregnant

Natural Ways To Deal With Anxiety While Pregnant

You found out you’re pregnant. However, with that news comes a windstorm of uncertainty.  Where we are unsure of how our bills will be paid and how are we going to manage taking care of this new blessing coming into our lives. We must first take a look within ourselves. As, we are juggling the household, work or school at the same kitchen table. It’s evident that we must be organized from the family base to personally.

How to overcome this is to first look at what is of pressing importance right at the present moment. This is certainly how I slowly began to make a way out of this. Our hands are full, sometimes the best way to get out of a situation.  Stress is on an all time level. It’s time to attack stress one piece at a time in a natural way.

Take A Neighborhood Stroll

This is the best thing you could do for yourself.  It’s to get your body moving.  If you did not know. Your body is a part of your subconscious mind. If your body is at rest your mind will surely follow. If your mind stays in a rest state it’s in it’s most vulnerable position to get attacked. So, put on those leggings and strap on your tennis shoes.  Just take a stroll around your block. Your mind and body will thank you for it!

Get In Some Water

Submerge yourself in some water. You will have to decide what would be the best time out of the day to do this.  It could be right after your morning walk or it could after you put those kids to bed.  It’s up to you on, When?  But, just do it.  Get in the tub and put some essential oils or Epson salt in there.  Set the atmosphere with some relaxing music. Let your mind just focus on the music and allow stress to subside in the water.

Journaling

Don’t pick up the phone, Girl.  Pick up that journal.  Sometimes, we can vent our most intimate thoughts to the wrong people.  We should be unleashing our hurts, past pains and frustration on to the page.  It’s a safe place.  Where your business will not be shared or spoken of to the next person.  It’s between you and God! Write it all down! Take that pen to pad and something extraordinary happens. As those toxic feelings that were swirling in your mind. Is given a proper resting home and immediate reflection.

Reading

I know you are like, I don’t have time. Make the time. This is the best time to explore an oldie but goodie.  Reading… In this digital age, we have so much coming at us at one time. You may dare to say, you are reading all the time.  But, no.  What books are you investing in that can change the way you think?  What is challenging you to take a new strategy to problems that you are facing?

Practice Prayer

People over religions (yes that’s a word, LOL!) as what I believe is a simple form of just talking. All prayer is a conversation that you have with God on a daily basis.  Would you miss a gossip conversation with your BFF?  As you discuss the latest celebrity tea that has exploded on the internet.  No, you wouldn’t. In fact, once you get into a groove of doing it all the time. You can not wait to fall at the feet of Jesus.  As you share your most intimate thoughts, hopes, dreams and fears with Him.

Organization System

One way you could  overcome the stress that seems to be taking over your heart and your mind.  It’s time to organize. And, It’s time to come up with a great morning routine. A morning routine can be the key to  unlock the frustration that you are feeling. Where you may feel like you’re me time is diminishing more and more. It’s time to rise before those kids get up.  This is your time for you.  A time for refreshing. A time of renewal.

You can implement each of these stress management techniques  in your own order  and timing.  Matter of fact, select one and try to put it into action in your daily schedule. Test it out and give it time to reflect the outcome it has on you.

Just in short, I noticed a great effect that one of the stress management techniques had on my life personally. When you are pregnant as you know it takes a toll on you emotionally, mentally, and physically. I noticed that when I started to take a walk.  Just around my neighborhood block in the early morning. My mind began to get clearer. I started to think about the stress and the problems that were swirling in my mind.  It gave it a chance to breathe in those times of walking.  Sometimes, even in our own selves we don’t recognize the way stress can manifest itself in our own bodies. Pay attention and get in tune to what your body is feeling.
